Frequently Asked Questions

What materials are the posts made from?

All earring posts, hooks, and hoops are surgical-grade steel. When noted, they’re plated in silver or gold.

Do you use resin in your jewelry?

Nope! I never use resin. Instead, I seal my pieces with a water-based, non-toxic polyurethane called Brite Tone.

Will the posts on my stud earrings come loose?

No — I use a technique called embedding, where the posts are baked directly into the polymer clay. This keeps them secure and long-lasting. Every pair is also carefully checked to ensure durability.

How should I care for my earrings?

  • Remove before showering, swimming, or entering water.
  • If they do get wet, gently dry with a soft cloth.
  • Store them in a jewelry box or bag when not in use.
  • Use a polishing cloth for gold-plated findings when needed.

Is polymer clay fragile?

Once cured, polymer clay is flexible but strong. However, it’s best not to bend or twist the pieces excessively.

Are clay earrings heavy?

Not at all! One of the best things about clay earrings is how lightweight they are. Even the largest pairs weigh only about 5 grams.
